Ready to permanently safeguard against rebate abuse? Introducing the Seller.Tools Blacklist.
Now, you can add users who have abused your rebate automation in the past to your Seller.Tools Blacklist to prevent them from ever receiving rebates from you in the future – fully automated with the Seller.Tools API.
Let’s jump right into how it works!
Here's a video overview on how to use the Blacklist, and how it works in ManyChat:
How do I use the Blacklist?
- Identify a bad actor in ManyChat. This can be anyone who has previously abused your rebate automation, someone that you catch in the act, or even someone who has returned your product in the past!
- Add any piece of customer information to your Blacklist in your Seller.Tools account. Navigate to Wallet > Blacklist in your account, and add a new entry for each user. You can use an email address, physical street address, hashed Amazon email address, Order ID, or any other information you have on the customer.
This video walks you through some helpful ways to get this information to prevent abuse! Note: Any piece of information that you use when you set up Rebate Automation Abuse Protection will also be used to eliminate users from receiving your rebates in the future, but this is stored in a different list than your Blacklist. The Blacklist is used to catch bad actors, and Abuse Protection was developed to keep customers from redeeming a rebate with the same order information.
- Ensure the Blacklist check is configured in your ManyChat flows. Our updated flows already include the Blacklist check built-in, and the simplest way to begin using the Blacklist is to re-install the Seller.Tools Rebate Automation template. This will ensure that your flows are updated and error-free!
- Share your Blacklist with trusted allies and partners! Sharing your Blacklist is a great way to make this even more powerful. Are you part of a mastermind group or have a few trusted partnerships? When you share your Blacklist with each other in Seller.Tools, you’ll have full access to a larger database of rebate abusers, and will be able to stop bad actors before they even attempt to violate your rebate automation.
What can I add to my Seller.Tools Blacklist?
You can use a customer’s email address, physical street address, hashed Amazon email address, Order ID, or any other information you have on the customer.
The Order ID and Email address fields are already indicated as options in the Blacklist interface, but you can use the two custom parameters (Ref ID 1 and Ref ID 2) for ANY piece of information you’d like to use to identify your customer!
This works just like Rebate Automation Abuse Prevention. This video walks you through some helpful ways to get this information to prevent abuse!

On this screen, you can share with a new user by entering their email address under ‘Invite People’.
Once they accept your invitation, they will be able to automatically check your Blacklist through the Seller.Tools API! You’ll also be able to see and identify any entries that were shared with you in the Blacklist interface.
